Instructions
Mix flour and the ground black pepper in a bowl (often called seasoning the flour)
Pour in beer slowly, while whisking. Whisk continuously, until batter is smooth.
Dip food in the batter, allowing the excess to drip back into bowl naturally. Drop food straight into the deep fryer, while taking care not to splash the oil.
Fry until your food of choice is cooked. Fish usually take 2 to 3 minutes, but other things may take longer. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.

I tried with 1 bottle of beer and another for myself. Whilst whisking slowly I downed 2 more.
Basically after that the whisking session became prolonged and several more bottles were consumed.
After that I was on glide time, which became very pleasant as I worked through the remains of the pack. Finally I drank the batter as I could not find the fish (but the cat did).Felt really relaxed and have to put this down as one of the best meals I never ate.

Yes, I liked this review also, but we digress from the topic at hand. I found another beer batter recipe which had seven additional ingredients. That recipe called for a whole tablespoon of paprika. That much paprika gave the bater and fish kind of an odd flavor. It wasn’t bad and I guess it would be okay if you aren’t crazy about the taste of fish. It might work better for fried chicken. This recipe is like a clean slate; you can add in your own combination of spices and create your own recipe.

I like the idea of opening a bottle of beer for the batter 😀 then having 1 or three for myself while stirring the batter occasionally to get the texture just right. Great recipe love it
